Marissa is the Chief Sustainability Officer at PVH Corp., one of the world’s largest global apparel companies with a portfolio of iconic lifestyle brands including Tommy Hilfiger and Calvin Klein. In this capacity, she leads a global team responsible for the inception and implementation of PVH’s Corporate Responsibility strategy, Forward Fashion - a new level of ambition and transparency for sustainable business.
Under her leadership, Marissa’s team designs and implements programs to uphold human rights and drive environmental sustainability. Her team leads sustainable capability building both internally and externally, and manages the stakeholder engagement and relationships critical to supporting and advancing this work. She also oversees all non-financial reporting, including the data collection, methodologies and systems necessary for continuing to further transparency and accountability.
While there is much work to do, Marissa is proud of PVH’s achievements, reflected in recent recognitions such as a No.12 ranking in Barron’s Most Sustainable Companies and No.16 ranking in Newsweek’s America’s Most Responsible Companies. Together with PVH’s leadership team, Marissa believes that PVH has a responsibility and opportunity to drive transformation towards a more circular, just and inclusive fashion industry benefiting all stakeholders, and she is dedicated to continuing to lead her team to accelerate this progress.
Marissa started her career as a lawyer focused on international mergers and acquisitions, and corporate compliance. She received degrees from Georgetown University and Georgetown University Law Center, and studied at Georgetown University’s Villa Le Balze in Florence. She is drawn to the fashion industry because of its humanity, creativity, and power to influence great change. She is passionate about the power of partnerships and collective action, and believes that working with people that bring a different background, perspective, and input will always lead to something greater than any individual can achieve alone.
Marissa serves on the Steering Committee of the Global Fashion Agenda, and served on the Board of the Accord on Fire and Building Safety in Bangladesh, and the Fair Labor Association.
