Description
Mr Faroghi is the officer in charge of trade/business and human rights at the Directorate-General for Trade of the European Commission.
Mr Faroghi work includes advising on human rights conditionality in bilateral/multilateral negotiations, and the development and application of EU and international instruments, e.g. on forced labour and human rights due diligence.
Before his current position, Mr Faroghi served in the Legal Service of the European Commission, clerked in the District Court of Southern Stockholm, and worked in the Prime Minister’s Office of Sweden (in the government of Stefan Löfven).
Mr Faroghi has a law degree from Uppsala University and studied international law at the National University of Singapore, Faculty of Law.
