Description
Miguel Pérez Ludeña is Research Lead at the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), where he is responsible for research activities at the Standards Division. His tasks include developing new sector standards such as the upcoming standard on textiles and garments.
He is an economist, expert in foreign direct investment (FDI) and sustainable development. Before joining GRI he worked for the United Nations in Europe, Asia and Latin America.
Until 2018 he was responsible for research and policy advice on FDI at the United Nations Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC). He was the key author of several editions of the Foreign Direct Investment in Latin America and the Caribbean Report as well as many other publications. He was also a member of the team responsible for the World Investment Report of UNCTAD and worked in the Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific, in Bangkok, directing projects to expand basic services and reduce urban poverty.
