Description

Laila Petrie is the CEO of 2050, an independent organisation working to support a rapid transition to a sustainable future through research, innovation and strategy support to some of the world’s largest organisations. Laila previously held several roles with WWF and Marks and Spencer, including WWF Global Lead on cotton and textiles - overseeing WWF’s textiles programme including sector strategy, research, partnerships, and on-ground implementation in 10 countries. She is currently the Joint Chair of the UNFCCC Fashion Industry Charter for Climate Action, and is working with a range of brand, NGO and governmental clients in the fashion and sustainability spaces. She has taken advisory or board roles for SAC, ECAP, Textile Exchange, the UN 10YFP programme, and the Alliance for Water Stewardship.
