Description
María López Valdés is the co-founder and CEO of Bitbrain, a neurotechnology company established in 2010 that develops and markets equipment and solutions for scientific research and health.
María holds a degree in Mathematics, a PhD in Computer Engineering, and a Master's in Business Administration. With a solid scientific and technical background, she has dedicated a significant part of her professional career to business management and strategy.
Currently, besides her role leading Bitbrain, María is a member of the Boards of Directors of Ibercaja Banco and the venture capital firm Copernion. She is also a member of the Boards of Trustees of the AITIIP Technology Center and the Francisco Luzón Foundation, which supports ALS patients.
María is a regular speaker at forums on innovation, scientific research, entrepreneurship, and business strategy, where her interventions are focused mainly on neurotechnology, artificial intelligence, and technological humanism.
Her career has led her to receive multiple recognitions, including being listed in the "Top 100 Entrepreneurs", "Top 100 Women Leaders in Spain", and "100 Economic Leaders for the Future of Spain". She has also received awards such as the Google Anita Borg Memorial Award and the Ibero-American Innovation and Entrepreneurship Award from the Ibero-American General Secretariat.
