Description

Dr. Mark Anner is a professor of labor and employment relations at the Pennsylvania State University and the founding director of the Center for Global Workers’ Rights. He also directs the University’s master’s program in Labor and Global Workers’ Rights, which is part of the Global Labour University network. Dr. Anner holds a Ph.D. in Government from Cornell University and a master’s degree in Latin American Studies from Stanford University. He is the author of more than 50 academic publications. His work focuses on purchasing practices and global supply chains, and he examines trade union, employer, and government strategies for addressing decent work deficits. He has conducted extensive field research in Bangladesh, India, and Vietnam, and throughout Latin America, where he lived for eleven years. Dr. Anner is the recipient the Luis Aparicio Emerging Scholar Prize, the John T. Dunlop Outstanding Scholar Award, and the Susan C. Eaton Outstanding Scholar-Practitioner Award.
