Deputy of the French National Assembly (2002-2020).
Senator (since October 1, 2020).
-President of the Alliance of Liberals and Democrats and President of the Science and Technology Committee (STC) at the NATO Parliamentary Assembly.
-Member of the Senate Foreign Affairs, Defense and Armed Forces Committee.
-Member of the Délégation aux Outremers of the French Senate, member of the advisory board of the Terres australes et antarctiques françaises (TAAF).
Philippe Folliot has been to Afghanistan five times since 2008 to support French troops. Following the outbreak of the Russian invasion he also went to Ukraine twice. This year, he went to the Essequibo province (Guyana), he also visited French forces on a support mission in Chad.
