Biography

Patrick Spies, born in 1995, is a German-speaking Belgian politician from the Socialist Party (PS). Since June 25, 2024, he has served as a member of the Parliament of Wallonia and as an advisory member of the Parliament of the German-speaking Community. He is also a member of the municipal council in his hometown, Amblève. Professionally, he worked for three years in the office of the Minister of Social Affairs of the German-speaking Community in Belgium. In 2019, he decided to venture into active politics and run for office. From 2019 to 2024, he served as a member of the Parliament of the German-speaking Community, where he most recently held the position of group leader for the Socialist group. At the same time, Mr Spies worked as an external technical sales representative in an industrial company, responsible for German-speaking markets. His political goal is to advocate for the interests of the citizens in his region and to foster cross-linguistic networking.
