Biography

Alfonso Cuenca Miranda has been a lawyer of the Spanish Parliament since 2001. PhD in Law from ICADE. He has been Deputy Minister of Justice and Public Administrations of the Community of Madrid from 2003 to 2012. He has held various positions as a lawyer in the Spanish Chambers, having been Director of Budgets and Contracting and of the Technical Directorate of Infrastructures of the Spanish Senate (2012-2020). He currently holds the position of Director of the Directorate of Studies, Analysis and Publications of the Congress of Deputies. He has also been counsellor to the Spanish Delegation to the Inter-Parliamentary Union. He has been a university professor of Constitutional Law and Political Science at the Universidad Rey Juan Carlos and at the Centro Universitario Villanueva and since 2021 he has been a professor of Constitutional Law at the Universidad de Comillas-Icade.
