Biographie
Born in 1982, graduated from the Faculty of Economics of the Latvia University of Agriculture after which earned a master's degree at the Faculty of Economics and Management, the University of Latvia. For many years worked at the Latgale Region Development Agency, also gained experience in municipal work, university administration, media and the tourism industry. As an active member of civil society, organized various cultural events to strengthen the Latgalian language and cultural identity.
In 2011, elected to the Saeima – the Parliament of the Republic of Latvia (11th Saeima). Subsequently re-elected to the 12th and now to the 14th Saeima. Active member of the Baltic Assembly, which is a Parliamentary cooperation organization of the three Baltic states.
