Biography
Graduated in law from the University of Florence, after his studies he began a career as an insurance agent. He is part, as group leader of FdI, of the 7th Commission for Culture and Cultural Heritage, Public Education, Scientific Research, Entertainment and Sport. He was elected for Forza Italia to the provincial council of Florence in 1995 and reconfirmed in 1999, and since 1997 he has been provincial coordinator of the party. Candidate in the tuscan regional elections of 2000 in the district of Florence, he was elected on 4 July 2001. He was also reconfirmed as regional councilor in 2005 and 2010. From June 2009 to May 2010 he was also a municipal councilor in Scandicci. From 2010 to 2013 he was provincial secretary in Florence of the People of Freedom, leaving the party in 2013 upon the foundation of Fratelli d'Italia. In the 2022 political elections he was elected to the Senate for the Brothers of Italy in the multi-member constituency of Tuscany.
