Biography
Werner Salzmann (*1962) holds a degree in agricultural engineering and agriculture. He has been a Member of Parliament since 2015, first of the National Council and since 2019 of the Council of States. He represents the Swiss People’s Party.
At present, he sits on the Economic Affairs and Taxation Committee, the Security Policy Committee, the Control Committee and Delegation, the Delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE), the Delegation to the NATO Parliamentary Assembly as well as the Standing Parliamentary Delegation for Participation in OECD Activities. In addition to his parliamentary activity, Werner Salzmann is chief tax expert of the tax administration of the canton of Berne.
