Biography

Marián Viskupič was born on October 18, 1977. He is a Slovak politician (MP since 2019) and a member of the Freedom and Solidarity (SaS) party, focusing on economic and financial matters. He was a chairman of the Finance and budget committee (2020-2023) in National parliament and he is a vice chairman now. As an expert in taxes and levies, he actively works on proposals to improve the business environment in Slovakia. Throughout his political career, he has been dedicated to reforms aimed at increasing transparency and efficiency in public administration. He was general director of property and infrastructure in the Ministry of Defence ( 2010-2012), as well as director of the office of the Bratislava self-governing region ( 2017-2019). He is also active in regional politics as a member of local parliament of Self-governing region Trnava (since 2017). In this role he focuses on improving the quality of public services and promoting sustainable development within the region.
