Biography
Emma Nohrén is a member of the Swedish Riksdag for The Greens (MP) since 2022. She chairs the Committee on Environment and Agriculture and is deputy member of the EU Affairs Committee and the Committee on Foreign Affairs. She is also member of the Riksdag delegation to the Baltic Sea Parliamentary Conference. She was also a member of the Swedish Riksdag 2014-2018. Her main political focus areas are climate and environment, limnic and marine water issues, including fisheries, international development cooperation and rural development among others.
In 2018-2022, the government appointed her chair of the cross-party Committee on Environmental Objectives (Swe. Miljömålsberedningen) and have successfully led the committee to fully consensus among the Swedish parties when it comes to new Marine strategy and, a new Generational Goal for Sweden’s global climate footprint including consumption-based emissions.
Over the years, Emma Nohrén has held many positions in her party.
