Biography
Mr. Hideki Miyauchi has been elected five times to the House of Representatives (HR) of the National Diet of Japan and is a member of the Liberal Democratic Party (LDP). He was first elected in 2012.
He graduated from the School of Business at Aoyama Gakuin University. For about 25 years, he worked as a secretary to three Members of the HR: Mr. Jun Shiozaki, Mr. Yasuhisa Shiozaki and Mr. Tomoyoshi Watanabe. After becoming a HR Member himself, he served as Parliamentary Vice-Minister of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (2015-2016), State Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (2020-2021), and Chair of the HR Standing Committee on Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (2022-2023).
He currently serves as the Deputy Secretary-General of the LDP.
