Mr. Thomson is currently the President of the Executive Board of UNDP/UNFPA/UNOPS overseeing a US$7 billion annual spend. Served as 2013 Chair of the Group of 77 and China, the largest negotiating bloc of the United Nations. Was Chairman of the Assembly of the International Seabed Authority in 2012 and Vice-President of the United Nations General Assembly in 2010-11.
