Head of the Health Division
Head of the Health Division at the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development, leads OECD work on health, which provides internationally comparable data on health and health systems and applies economic analysis to health policies, advising policy makers, stakeholders and citizens on how to respond to demands for more and better healthcare and make health systems more resilient and people centred.
Major activities of the Division cover health indicators, including trends in health spending; policies to improve health systems resilience and value for money, including workforce and dialogue with finance officials; people-centred health systems, including healthcare quality policies and the Patient Reported Indicators Survey initiative; the economics of public health; megatrends, including long-term care and ageing, digital health, health and the environment; and pharmaceutical policies (http://www.oecd.org/health).
Ms Colombo is a member of the Lancet Pandemic Readiness, Implementation, Monitoring and Evaluation Commission on COVID-19, the World Health Summit Council, the French government’s Commission des comptes de la santé, and served as co-chair of the World Economic Forum Global Future Council on Health and Healthcare, and other international advisory panels.
Mrs Colombo has over 25 years of experience leading international activities on health and health systems.
