Description
Ms Sigrid Eeckhout is a Doctor in Geology from the University of Ghent, Belgium. After more than 10 years of fundamental research in physical mineralogy at the University of Ghent, Belgium, the University of Ouro Preto, Brazil and the European Synchrotron Radiation Facility, France, she obtained an additional degree in Science Communication in London, UK.
Since more than 10 years, she has been working at ONDRAF/NIRAS where she is currently Head of the Communication and Participation Department. She is since 2017 Bureau Member of the Forum on Stakeholder Confidence, NEA and leads the Task Group on Youth Involvement. She is also member of the Comité éthique et société, a pluralistic committee responsible for advising Andra's executive board on how to take societal issues into account in its activities.
