Description

Since 2014, Pierre-Marie Abadie has served as CEO of the French National Radioactive Waste Management Agency (ANDRA). From 2008, he served as Director of Energy at the Directorate General for Energy and Climate of the Ministry of the Environment. He has also served as a member of the Boards of EDF and the International Energy Agency. Previously, from 2002 to 2007, Mr Abadie was the Advisor to the Minister of Defence for Industrial Affairs. From 1998 to 2002, he held several positions in the General Directorate of the Treasury. From 1994 to 1998 he was Deputy Director at the Regional Industry, Research and Environment Directorate of Lorraine and Head of the Regional Industrial Environment Service. M. Abadie is a general mining engineer and graduate of the École Polytechnique. He is an officer of the French National Order of Merit, as well as the Legion of Honour.
