Description

Shauryavardhan Sharma is a Junior Specialist with the Radioactive Waste Management and Decommissioning Division at the OECD Nuclear Energy Agency, prior to completing a Traineeship with the same team. His interests lie in climate change mitigation, nuclear risk reduction, arms control and disarmament, and promotion of peaceful uses of nuclear energy. He holds a Master's Degree in International Security from Sciences Po, Paris

NEA membership consists of 34 countries representing 80% of the world's installed nuclear electricity generating capacity. The mission of the NEA is to assist its member countries in maintaining and further developing, through international co-operation, the scientific, technological and legal bases required for a safe, environmentally sound and economical use of nuclear energy for peaceful purposes.
