Description

Annatina (1983) graduated from the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies in Geneva in 2002 with a Master in International Relations and in 2008 with a Master in International Affairs. During her studies in Geneva, she worked for various international Non-Governmental Organisations in the field of human rights and humanitarian affairs, and thereby followed and attended various meetings of the United Nations in Geneva. In 2006, she joined HDF Finance, an internationally renowned French asset Management company (now Rothschild & Cie), in which she was the Business Development Manager for Switzerland and Germany. In 2010, she changed to the Swiss Federal Administration, and worked as Project Manager for the Swiss Critical Infrastructure Protection Programme at the Swiss Federal Office for Civil Protection. In 2012, she joined the Swiss Federal Nuclear Safety Inspectorate ENSI as Head of International Affairs. In this position, she leads the International Programme and Regulatory Research at ENSI, including international collaboration with the IAEA, the NEA, as well as on the bilateral and regional level. One of professional “achievements”, was the adoption of the “Vienna Declaration of Nuclear Safety”, during the 2015 IAEA Diplomatic Conference held in Vienna, which followed a Swiss initiative to amend the Convention on Nuclear Safety. Annatina is in a fluent in 4 languages (German, French, Italian and English) and passive in a fifth (Spanish). In 2018, she was awarded a PhD in Politics and International Affairs from the University of Leicester (UK).
