Description

Sana Bilal is the Manager, Nuclear Facilities Section in the Radiation Safety Department, Federal Authority for Nuclear Regulation, United Arab Emirates Ms. Sana Bilal is specialized in Radiation Safety area working at the Federal Authority for Nuclear Regulation and member of the Waste Safety Standards Committee (WASSC) of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). She was previously assigned as a country group officer during the 5th and the 6th review meeting of the Joint Convention. Ms. Sana holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Physics as well as a Master’s Degree in Nuclear Engineering, and has over 10 years’ experience in the area of licensing and regulating the nuclear power plants radiation safety programmes and radioactive waste management systems. Recently, she is leading the project of licensing radioactive waste management facilities and reviewing the Nuclear Energy Back-End Programme Plans which should contribute to the future of the radioactive waste management in the UAE.
