Jaffar Al-Rikabi is a Senior Economist in the World Bank’s Fiscal Policy and Sustainable Growth Unit. His research and policy work include a focus on the role tax and fiscal policy have to play in supporting digital transformation and sustainable growth. Jaffar started at the World Bank as an Economist for the Macroeconomics, Trade, and Investment Global Practice, and was based in Jakarta, Indonesia. Previously, he worked as a consultant for the United Nations Development Programme and as a management consultant at Accenture. Jaffar was educated at Oxford, Georgetown, and Harvard universities.
