Description
Harald Jedlicka is Head of the World Bank Group’s Investment Climate Office in Vienna, Austria. The Office supports a portfolio of activities, including government advisory, development lending and an array of knowledge sharing and learning activities to help clients attract and retain foreign direct investment (FDI).
An experienced FDI practitioner with more than 20 years of experience in the field of investment policy and promotion, Mr. Jedlicka has advised governments in over 40 countries across the globe on designing and implementing policies for attracting and retaining foreign investment. The current focus of his work is on investment climate policies and tools for governments in emerging markets and developing economies to leverage private investment for climate change mitigation and adaptation. He also co-authored the Investment Climate unit’s advisory approach on investment incentives and contributed to the World Bank Group’s flagship ‘Investing Across Borders’ report, benchmarking FDI regulations in 87 economies across the globe.
Prior to joining the World Bank Group, Mr. Jedlicka started his career in the private sector. He holds a Masters Degree in International Marketing and Management from the Vienna University of Economics and Business Administration.
