Description
Martin Wermelinger is Head of Sustainable Investment Unit & Deputy Head of Investment Division at the OECD Directorate for Financial and Enterprise Affairs in Paris. Supporting the Head of Division, and serving the OECD Investment Committee, Martin’s team supports governments to create enabling conditions for investment to flow into the most sustainable and productive uses, both within the OECD and across diverse regions including Africa, Asia, Eurasia, Latin America, and the Middle East. This involves setting new and implementing existing OECD standards, producing novel data and analysis, and engaging in capacity building and global dialogue.
Prior to joining the OECD, Martin was a Research Fellow at the Swiss Institute for International Economics and Applied Economic Research, University of St. Gallen. Martin holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of St. Gallen, Switzerland. His areas of specialisation are sustainable investment policies, investment incentives, global value chains and FDI-SME linkages.
