Description
Monica Umana is the manager of foreign direct investment in the Costa Rican Foreign Trade Promoter, PROCOMER.
She has gained extensive experience in attracting foreign investment from her previous work with a private investment promotion agency for more than a decade. She has coordinated with a wide array of real estate developers, lawyers, and consulting firms in advising clients on matters concerning greenfield investments and the Free Trade Zone Regime.
Monica focuses not only on setting up new operations in Costa Rica but also on growing and expanding established operations. She guides and smooths the way for companies throughout the setup process. Before joining PROCOMER, she held a variety of communications jobs, including working as a reporter for Grupo La Nacion and as anchor and reporter for Channel 7.
Monica holds a master's degree in marketing and communication from Universidad Latina de Costa Rica, and has received the prestigious international King of Spain Journalism Award in recognition of her work in journalism.
