Jason Yackee is a Professor of Law at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He received his law degree (JD) from Duke University and a PhD in Political Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He has studied European and International Law at Paris II-Assas and was awarded a Fulbright Scholars fellowship to conduct research on Thai foreign investment law at the Thammasat University Faculty of Law, in Bangkok, Thailand. Professor Yackee has written and published widely on international investment law, and has recently completed a series of articles exploring the law and diplomacy of investor-state dispute settlement in post-colonial francophone Africa. He is currently working on a history of France’s first investment treaty, with Tunisia.
