Anthony Cox is the Deputy Director of the Environment Directorate of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD). Since joining the OECD in 2000, Anthony has led multi-disciplinary teams tackling a wide range of environmental issues including climate, water, fisheries, biodiversity, political economy of reform, green finance and the ocean. He has coordinated major multi-agency projects on climate, finance and growth, and guides the OECD’s work on the sustainable ocean economy. He also leads the OECD’s engagement on environment, climate and energy issues in the G7 and G20. Prior to joining the OECD, Anthony worked as Senior Economist in the Australian Public Service, including positions in the Productivity Commission and the Australian Bureau of Agricultural and Resource Economics.
