Coordinator - Local Labour Market Analysis
Description
Dr. Lukas Kleine-Rueschkamp is the Coordinator of Local Labour Market Analysis in the Local Employment, Skills and Social Innovation Division at the OECD Centre for Entrepreneurship, SMEs, Regions and Cities. At the OECD, Lukas has been managing projects on local skills development and employment policies, adult learning systems, the contribution of migration to regional development and the drivers and effects of urbanisation. Currently, he is coordinating the OECD flagship report Job Creation and Local Economic Development 2022 of the OECD Local Employment and Economic Development Committee. Before joining the OECD, Lukas worked in the private sector, for international organisations, and in academia. His research focuses on a wide range of topics in labour economics, development economics and regional development, including the impact of technology and the green transition on jobs and skills, the labour market integration of migrants, urbanisation, and the socio-economic relevance of political institutions in developing countries. He holds a B.Sc. in Economics at the University of Bonn, a Master of Philosophy and a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Oxford and was a Fulbright Scholar at the University of California, Berkeley. Lukas speaks English, French, German and Spanish.
