Description
He holds a law degree from the Faculty of Law of the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México. He has a specialisation in Gender and Human Rights and a Masters in Constitutional Law from CONACYT's Programme of Academic Excellence in Postgraduate Studies at the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México. He served as a Local Deputy in the Congress of Mexico City in its first Legislature, where he was the Vice-Coordinator of the Morena Parliamentary Group. He was elected Secretary General of the Legislative Agenda of the National Association of Legislators of the 4T. He was head of the Commission for Accountability and Oversight of the Superior Audit Office of Mexico City. Representative of the Mexico City Congress before the Special Commission for the Follow-up of the Implementation of the 2030 Agenda in Mexico. Member of the Economic, Social and Environmental Council of Mexico City, head of the Commission for Sustainable Regional Development and Productive Chains.
José Luis Rodríguez Díaz de León is a social activist, defender of human rights, freedom of expression, journalists' rights, free and public education, sexual diversity rights and promoter of laws to eradicate violence against girls and women. He has also served as head of the General Directorates of Social Development, Legal and Government and Agrarian Affairs in the Government of Mexico City, as well as a defense lawyer in the Attorney General's Office for the Defense of Labor.
In the academic field:
He has served as a lecturer in Parliamentary Law and Private International Law at the Faculty of Law and the Faculty of Political and Social Sciences of the National Autonomous University of Mexico.
She has also taught Gender and Justice at the Universidad Iberoamericana Campus Ciudad de México. He participated in the Seminar on Labour Law at the Faculty of Law of the UNAM and was a member of the Mexican Academy of Labour Law. He has written articles for Reforma, Expansión, El Heraldo, Contraréplica, El Sol de México, Big Data and Capital CDMX.
