Ahmed E. SAFAR is an expert-generalist and strategist in governance, public policy & diplomacy, leadership, management and capacity building & development. He recently founded, and is currently managing, a boutique consultancy "Qudorat Strategy Consulting" from his base in Tripoli, Libya. His former ambassadorship post in Rome, Italy, as Libya's ambassador (2014-2018) has been very insightful into critical areas of international diplomacy, post-conflict stability and migration, particularly in the Mediterranean and MENA regions. In his capacity as deputy minister (2011-2013) in post Arab Spring Libya, SAFAR had a strong focus on public sector reforms, skills, innovation & employment and socio-economic development policies including in areas of SMEs, trade & investment.
His current career path as Policy & Strategy Senior Expert, operating as an independent consultant, is likely to harness the accumulated knowledge, experience and value added exposure he has had over the years, both in the public and private sectors, for the benefit of his potential clients. Mr. Safar is currently contracted by the Libyan House of Representatives (HoR Tripoli) as Public Policy Adviser affiliated with the Economy, Trade & Investment Select Committee.
