Bio
Patrick is currently representing BNP Paribas in the European Platform on Sustainable Finance and is acting as EU Taxonomy coordinator for BNP Paribas, across its various business lines and operating functions.
He was previously seconded to the French Banking Federation as Director on climate related matters where he set up and managed the newly created Climate Commission and various working groups on climate related matters. He also represented the FBF in the steering committee that led to the setup of the Sustainable Finance Observatory, to foster voluntary disclosure by French financial institutions on their progress in relation to the Paris Accord.
Prior to that, Patrick was head of the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Analysis & Advisory team for the Corporate & Institutional Banking (CIB) division of BNP Paribas, which he created in 2009.
He also served in various ESG expert groups, including the ACPR Climate & Sustainable Finance Commission, the OECD expert group on Responsible Business Conduct for financial institutions. He also served as a Steering Committee member of the Equator Principles for over 4 years and served as Trustee of the EP Association for more than 7 years.
Before that, Patrick held organisation and management responsibilities in structured finance. Patrick has also a very significant Project Finance (PF) experience of over 18 years in Singapore and in Paris, where he led the execution of landmark PF transactions, which have won key awards in the PF industry.
Patrick graduated from the Ecole Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées, a top French scientific and engineering school. He also graduated from the Collège des Ingénieurs, a post-graduate management program for top young graduate engineers and scientists.
