Description

Elrika Hamdi is an energy finance and policy specialist with more than 17 years of professional experience in energy finance sector as a researcher, a consultant, an expert, as well as an entrepreneur. Elrika obtained in-depth knowledge in the Indonesia's energy policies and more generally on the Southeast Asia power market structure. Presently she works in the Indonesia Just Energy Transition Partnership (JETP) Secretariat as the Deputy Head of the Secretariat, as well as the Transition Finance and Policy Specialist. She oversees both the Finance and Policy Working Groups in preparation, implementation, and monitoring of the $21.6 billion JETP pledge. Previously Elrika was a lead researcher for Indonesia and South East Asia energy finance sector in the Institute for Energy Economics and Financial Analysis (IEEFA). She had also worked as a consultant for the UNEP, UNDP, AFD, USAID, and GIZ amongst others. Elrika attained a unique hands-on experience in developing rural electrification projects as an entrepreneur, growing a renewable energy start-up and advising the government and SOEs on energy finance related issues. She has appeared on multiple domestic and international speaking engagements pertaining to energy policies, market and finance.
