Description

Sarah is the lead policy analyst for sustainable finance within the South African Prudential Authority, a division of the South African Reserve Bank. She currently leads the development of South Africa’s regulatory and supervisory approach to climate-related risks and monitoring of sustainable finance market developments. She previously worked at the National Treasury where she served in various positions. Sarah led the development of the South African green finance taxonomy and benchmark climate risk scenarios. She has considerable experience in financial sector markets, public policy, development finance, water sector and oversight of state-owned entities. She is a member of numerous domestic and international committees. She holds a Business Science with finance honours degree and a Master’s in public and development management.
