Description
Evert van Walsum started his career in banking in the Netherlands. After that period, he joined the Netherlands Authority for the Financial Markets (AFM), where he worked in various roles in policy and supervision, in the markets area and in the field of consumer protection. His last position at the AFM was Head of the Capital Markets Department.
At ESMA, Evert is Head of the Investor Protection and Sustainable Finance Department, responsible for investor protection, asset management, corporate finance, corporate reporting, and sustainability.
Evert has studied at the University of Amsterdam and at INSEAD Fontainebleau.
