Description
Jochen leads GFRI’s work to help central banks and financial supervisors to identify the data, tools, and methodologies they need to mitigate the significant financial and price instability risks caused by biodiversity loss and global warming as part of their mandates. Over the past decade he has gathered extensive experience in advising policy makers on sustainable finance and has been a member of several EC-mandated expert groups on sustainable finance including the Technical Expert Group (2018-2020), the European Platform (2020-2022) and more recently the High-Level Expert Group on sustainable finance in Low and Middle Income Countries (LMIC). From 2017 to 2022 he has also worked with international standards-setters to develop effective and credible global market standards for ‘green debt capital markets’.
Prior to joining WWF, he spent more than a decade with the private sector advisory firm PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), advising financial institutions and policy makers on international investment, trade and development policies.
