Description
Ian Suwarganda joined GAR in October 2014. He heads policy & advocacy department reporting to the Senior Vice President for Group Corporate Communications. Ian and his team represent GAR on sustainability matters to international stakeholders. They promote GAR’s good practices and thought leadership, while serving the company’s leadership in policy development, commercial engagement and public reporting. Prior to joining GAR, Ian held various commercial positions in the semiconductor and pulp & paper industry and a senior management position in a development foundation. He graduated with a Master’s degree in Business Administration from INSEAD in 2003 and a Bachelors’ degree in Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley, in 1996.
