Biography
Ms. Burokiene is a Member of the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania belonging to the Lithuanian Farmers and Greens Union Political Group., and she is the Chair of the Committee on State Administration and Local Authorities. Ms. Burokiene is also part of the PREPARE (Partnership for Rural Europe) and ELARD (European LEADER Association for Rural Development) and Chair of the Lithuanian Rural Communities Union. She is an expert on rural development and has previously held professional positions in the Food and Agriculture Organisation of the United Nations (FAO) and the Institute of Agriculture of the University of Tennessee.
