Biography
Dr Malte Kaufmann MdB has been a Member of the German Bundestag since 2021, representing the Alternative for Germany (AfD).
He is the deputy spokesman on economic policy for the AfD parliamentary group and group coordinator on the Committee on Economic Affairs.
His political priorities are economic policy and international cooperation and development. He is deputy chairman of the Bundestag’s Parliamentary Friendship Group for Relations with the States of South Asia and a member of the Franco-German Parliamentary Assembly.
Kaufmann is a member of the German delegation to the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly. He works actively to promote democracy, security and cooperation. Transparency in elections in Europe, Central Asia and North America is important to him. In addition, he is a member of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU).
Kaufmann was born in Mannheim (Baden-Württemberg) in 1976. He studied economics at Heidelberg University and obtained his doctorate from the Bucharest Academy of Economic Studies. He runs a real-estate company, is married and has four children.
