Biography
Franziska Kersten is a Member of the Bundestag since 2021 for the SPD party. She is also Co-Chair for the Parliamentary Group Cultural Heritage Avenues & Member Avenues Protection Association, and Deputy Chairperson for the Parliamentary Group Horse. Prior to becoming Member of Parliament, Franziska Kersten served as Managing Director of Landgesellschaft Sachsen-Anhalt, and became Head of the department for nature and environmental protection in agriculture at Federal Ministry for the Environment. From 1985 to 1989, she studied veterinary medicine at the University of Leipzig.
