Biography
Andreas Schwab (CDU) is a member of the European Parliament and coordinator for the European People's Party (EPP) in the Committee on the Internal Market and Consumer Protection (IMCO). In 2014 he was the author of the motion for a resolution on Strengthening consumer rights in the digital single market, which dealt with the market power of large digital groups. He is the European Parliament's rapporteur on the Digital Markets Act, which aims to curb the market power of the largest tech companies and ensure fair competition in digital markets.
