Biography
Lesia Vasylenko is a Member of the 9th Ukrainian Verkhovna Rada for the Holos Political Party since 2019. She is Chair of the Subcommittee on Climate Change and Clean Air in the Environmental Committee and Co-Chair of the Ukrainian-British Parliamentary Friendship Group. She is also a Member of the Ukrainian Permanent Delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) and Chair of the Office of Women Parliamentarians of the Inter-Parliamentary Union. She founded Legal Hundred, a non-governmental human rights organization that provides assistance to military and veterans. She is Co-Chair of the Energy and Environment Caucus, Hydronomics Caucus, and BezZaive (Sustainable Consumption) Caucus. She holds an International Law LLM degree from the University College London and a Master’s in Public International Law from the Kyiv National Taras Shevchenko University. She is a John Smith Fellow (UK) and German Marshall Fund Fellow (USA).
