Biography
Fadli Zon is one of the founders of Prabowo Subianto's Great Indonesia Movement Party of Indonesia. He is an acting Speaking of the People's Representative Council that holds several positions in international and regional organizations. He is currently the Vice-Chair of the Global Organization of Parliamentarians Against Corruption (GOPAC) and former President of GOPAC for the 2015-2017 and 2017-2019 mandates. Furthermore, he is the Vice President of The League of Parliamentarians for Al Quds, and the Chair of the Southeast Asian Parliamentarians Against Corruption (SEAPAC). In 2021, Fadli became a member of the IPU Standing Committee on Democracy and Human Rights, representing the Asia-Pacific Group. In addition, he has also become an active member of the IPU Task Force on the Ukraine-Russia Conflict. Fadli has also been renewed for the period 2020-2025 the Chairman position he had already been holding for the 2015-2020 period in the Indonesian Farmers Association (HKTI). Moreover, Fadli also holds the position of Chair of the Islamic Cultural Arts Association (HSBI), the oldest Islamic cultural arts organization in Indonesia founded in the 50s decade, and of the Inter-Parliamentary Cooperation Committee.
