Biography
Petra Bayr has been a Member of the Austrian National Council since 2002 as part of the Social Democratic Party (SPÖ). Since 2018 she has been a Substitute Member of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE). She is a Member of the Committee on the Election of Judges to the European Court of Human Rights, a member of the Committee on Equality and Non-Discrimination, Chairperson of the Sub-Committee on Gender Equality, and a Member of the Committee on Rules of Procedure, Immunities and Institutional Affairs.
