Biography
Margarita Stolbizer is a Member of the Chamber of Deputies of Argentina since 2021, after 4 previous parliamentarian mandates. She is President of the GEN Party (Generation for a National Meeting), and President of the Civil Association Bajo la Lupa, whose objectives are linked to transparency, justice, human rights and gender equality. Margarita Stolbizer is also working as a teacher in various secondary and university educational institutions. She is Member of the Council of the Permanent Assembly of Human Rights (APDH), the Parlatino Human Rights Commission, and the Argentine Delegation to the Inter-Parliamentary Union (UIP). Margarita Solbizer has also been serving as President of the Executive Committee of Parliamentarians for Global Action (PGA) until December 2017, and she is today Member of the Executive Committee. In addition, she is Member of the Board of Directors of ParlAmericas. She was a candidate for Governor of the Province of Buenos Aires in 2011 and a candidate for President of the Argentine Nation in 2015.
