Biography

George Cristian Tuta is a Romanian politician, member of the Executive Committee of the National Liberal Party. Starting with 2020, he serves as deputy and Quaestor in the Permanent Bureau of the Romanian Chamber of Deputies. Mr. Tuta is active in both the Committee on European Affairs and the Committee on Economic Policy of the Chamber of Deputies. Prior to Parliament, he held various advisory positions to ministers in the Romanian Executive, and later in the team of Romanian MEPs. Mr. Tuta also has military background, working in the Romanian Intelligence Service. He has a degree in economics and has taken additional courses in diplomacy and communication. He has a keen interest in reform, stimulating business entrepreneurship, innovation, debureaucratization, and digitalization. Two of the most recent legislative initiatives refer to broadband connectivity and to the efficiency of the domestic administrative environment.
