Biography

Ruth Cadbury is a Member of the House of Commons for Brentford and Isleworth since 2015. She is member of Labour’s Shadow International Trade Team and of the Transport Select Committee, and also takes an interest in public policy issues around housing, urban development and Net Zero. Prior to her parliamentary roles, she worked at the Shadow Minister for Housing and for Planning, and was member of the Women & Equalities and the Justice Select Committees. Prior to her election to Parliament, Ruth Cadbury was a town planner working in local government and the third sector. She was an elected Councillor in the London Borough of Hounslow for 25 years holding several senior positions, and she Chaired the Barrow Cadbury Trust – a leading social justice foundation.
