Biography
François Bellot is 1st Vice-President of the Parliament of the Wallonia-Brussels Federation (Parliament of the French Community). Prior to his political career, he worked for three years in the private sector as chief engineer director of the Ponts et Chaussées at the Ministry of Public Works. In 1995, he was elected mayor of the city of Rochefort in Belgium for 24 years, before becoming a federal deputy specializing in public enterprises, transport and finance. He was appointed Federal Minister for Mobility and Transport from 2016 to 2020, and notably led the project for a minimum service in rail transport. François Bellot is a graduate of the Ecole Polytechnique and the ENA in Paris.
