Biography
In 2006, at the age of 27, Efraim Filho was elected Federal Deputy and re-elected for four terms. He was three times leader of the Democrats party, now União Brasil. As Senator of the Republic, he was chosen to be the leader of the fourth largest bench in the federal Senate.
Graduated in Law from UFPB (2000), postgraduate in Consumer Law from the University of Granada (Spain, 2004), as well as from ESMA - Escola Superior da Magistratura (2000), the senator is the current president of the Parliamentary Trade Front and Service (FCS) in the Senate and First Secretary of União Brasil. He leads the largest party bloc in the House, “Democracia”, formed by 31 senators (União Brasil, MDB, PDT, Podemos, PSDB and Rede). He is also coordinator of the Tax Reform Working Group of the Economic Affairs Commission.
