Biography
Dan Carden is a Member of Parliament of the British Labour Party for Liverpool Walton since 2017. He is currently a member of the Commons Public Accounts Committee. He served as Shadow Secretary of State for International Development from 2018 to 2020 and Shadow Financial Secretary to the Treasury in 2020. In March 2023 he was elected President of the Forum of Young Parliamentarians at the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU). He graduated from the London School of Economics in international relations, and before his election worked in the General Secretary’s Office at Unite the Union. He is Treasurer of the British Group of the IPU Executive Committee.
